Considering braces for your child?

Smile Tech Dental & Implant Centre makes straighter teeth possible for teens using orthodontic metal braces. Designed specifically for your child, fixed orthodontic treatment can solve the problem of misaligned teeth, moving them to their final position of a perfect smile.

Our practice is open in the evenings and on weekends to make it easy to attend appointments outside of normal school hours. As we’re located within Bluewater Shopping Centre, plenty of free parking is available.

Improve your child’s smile and confidence

The purpose of orthodontic treatment is to make the best of your child's teeth. This includes allowing them to bite correctly, eat more comfortably, and be able to care for their teeth and gums more easily.

Common conditions requiring orthodontic treatment are:

Protruding upper front teeth - one of the most common dental problems.

Crowding – a narrow jaw may mean there is not enough room for the teeth, resulting in crowding. Conversely, some patients have significant gaps between their teeth.

Asymmetry – particularly when the centre lines of the upper and lower front teeth do not match, perhaps because the teeth have drifted, or the position of the jaw has shifted.

A deep bite – when the upper teeth cover the lower teeth too much.

A reverse bite – when the upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth.

An open bite – when the front teeth remain apart when the back teeth meet. The tongue is often still visible between the upper and lower front teeth.

Impacted teeth - in some patients, secondary teeth come through in the wrong position or do not erupt at all.

Orthodontic treatment can help bring these teeth into the correct position. The ideal age to have orthodontic treatment is around 12 or 13, while you're still growing. Treatment usually lasts from 18 months to two years, during which visits to Smile Tech Dental & Implant Centre are needed every four to six weeks.

Following completion of the course of treatment, your child will be required to wear a retainer for a number of hours a day or at night, to ensure your teeth remain in their new position.

Treatment prices

Our prices for fixed orthodontic treatments are £5,500. 0% finance for up to 12 months is available. Treatment costs include regular visits for up to three years of treatment, scale and polish treatments and regular exams throughout. Retainers are charged at £200 per arch at the end of the treatment.
