How does microneedling work?
Also known as a derma roller treatment, microneedling involves using a sterile roller with tiny pins to create many very small pricks in the skin. This triggers your body’s own natural healing process, encouraging new cells to be produced. Unlike laser treatments, microneedling targets deeper layers of skin without affecting the top layer.
Microneedling can look painful when you look up pictures of it however, most people only experience mild discomfort. We use an anaesthetic cream to ensure you are comfortable during the treatment. Redness of the skin often occurs but this settles down within a few days.
What can microneedling help with?
Microneedling stimulates collagen production and can be used almost anywhere on the body, most frequently on the face. The regenerative nature of this treatment makes it ideal for use on:
