How do fillers work?
Often made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that we naturally have in our bodies (but produce less of as we age), dermal fillers work by adding volume back into areas of the skin that are starting to sag or have become wrinkled. Many brands of filler exist and they will vary in their ingredients and consistencies.
Before the procedure we’ll apply a numbing cream to ensure you are comfortable. Fillers will be injected into the necessary areas and you should see results almost immediately. However, we always advise it takes around 2 weeks for the fillers to settle and you to see the full effect.
Depending on where the fillers are used, results typically last anywhere from 6 - 18 months.
